For those who enjoy their lives for most part of the time, life is just too short and not enough.
For those who are suffering in life, the emotions that come with it are just too painful and life is just too long and not worth living.
We are not born to be happy.
Be it as it may, our purpose in life is to seek happiness and along the way, we need good advice and clear pointers to help us find our way and head in the right direction.
Every one of us must find our own way to salvation and the road to
happiness is paved with obstacles and stumbling blocks. We need to see
and read the road signs to carefully navigate sharp curves and steep
slopes that can throw us off the road.
The vagaries of life are such that people who want the best things in life ends up disillusioned and not able to turn around or pick themselves up. The ones who are more successful are usually able to see things clearly and manage their emotions better.
Emotion is equal to the Mind x Change in Thought. It is a validation of Einstein's equation E = MC2. Change is constant and our mind is always a work-in-progress.
Our destiny is fluid and not carved in stone and this is only true if we learned the lessons life is teaching us. We can and should see the forest and the trees in our minds' eyes and not cloud it with fear, pessimism and negativity. Our vision is only as clear as our emotion, good or bad. A clear mind opens up possibilities in the horizon and creates visions of our future. We need to be an optimist to see solutions to problems and not a pessimist who complicate matters through overthinking and negative thoughts.
Here lies the irony. We hope for the best and expect the worst. Life is either too short or too long depending on who you ask.
A life is worth living if it is empowered, energized and proactive. We are the sole driver of our destiny, and happiness is nothing but a state of mind in which we steer our way through the labyrinth of time. Chinese Astrology - One Situation, Two Outcomes
In life, when we are confronted with a bad situation, there are
actually two outcomes.
The first outcome is obviously
negative since it is a bad situation and we may feel distraught or emotionally affected
by it. This is an outcome that is fixed by fate - being at the wrong time and at
the wrong place. We cannot undo what has happened to us.
However, how the second outcome turns
out depends on our thoughts, words and actions. It is not fixed. In fact, we
can choose the outcome in our favour. This is destiny in the making and we have
the power to make the best of the situation. And the power we have is over our
emotion.
Depending on the situation, our emotions can manifest in various forms
through our words and actions.
If it is anger over a
misunderstanding, the temperamental type will lash out verbally at people whom they
perceive has done them wrong. The words they
use can be hurtful to the other party as they let their emotions overpower them. They lose their sense of control and as a
result, they make the situation worse. Physical altercations can ensure. This
is the second outcome and it comes swiftly.
If it is disappointment over something
they failed to achieve, they may be conditioned by their lack of ability and perceive
themselves as unworthy and undeserving. Such self-defeating thoughts will break
their spirits and make them lose their confidence in whatever they do. If they
let such thoughts to spiral out of control, they will be filled with pessimism
and have a cynical view of the future. This is the second outcome and it is slow but insidious.
Whatever it is, we need to remain
calm and be in control of our emotion. A bad situation can only get worse if we
let out emotion gets the better of us. A calm state of mind and equanimity will
help us to think and act better, thereby making the second outcome a positive
one, whether immediately or later.
Be mindful of our thoughts, words
and actions as they can create outcomes that can be detrimental to us in any
negative situation. The second outcome can be worse than the first if we do not
learn to control our emotion and cut our losses. Our emotion is controllable and
we must subjugate it to our conscious mind by conscious effort. This is not easy to do as our emotions are
deep-seated within our subconscious mind and waiting to pounce on us whenever
it is triggered by any external stimuli.
Our reactions stem from our emotion
which pushes us to say or do things without any thoughts to the consequences. Our
subconscious mind is much quicker to react to any given situation compared to
our conscious mind. This is because of our emotion.
The only way we can think faster
than our emotion is by knowing consciously that with every situation, there are
two outcomes. The first is fate – things happen for a reason and the second is destiny
– we can choose our response.

Chinese Astrology - Mind Your Qi, Find Your Luck
E = MC2
Our emotion is equal to our thoughts which are within our
power to change.
The mind is the control centre of change and we are the
embodiment of energy which gives us life and this energy is our life force. In
the study of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), this life force is known as Qi
and the way it flows within our body is influenced by our mind and likewise,
our mind is also affected by it.
Since emotion is a form of energy, we can change our energy
by the way we think and our thoughts lead the way for Qi to flow. In other
words, where the mind goes, Qi follows.
If we are negative minded, it creates roadblocks that impede
the flow of Qi and hold us back from taking action. By channeling our thoughts
in a positive way, we unblock the flow of Qi so that our actions can produce
positive result. This is because our mind is the control centre of Qi and by
changing our pattern of thought, we are breaking down the unconscious barrier
that forms our habits. Qi is transformative and the action we take represents
such transformation. Our actions likewise become our habits which in turn
become the driver of our behaviour. Over the long-term, our character is the
result of our behaviour. Each step of the transformation from our thoughts to
our character makes way for our Qi to flow in transit. Along the way, we can
change our emotion by changing our thought or how we think.
In short, the fastest way to change our thoughts is to
control our mind consciously. When we control our mind consciously, Qi follows
our thoughts. In other words, the fastest way to change our emotion is to
change our thoughts. This is reflected in the Einstein equation E = MC2
in which energy equals to mass multiplied by the speed of light to the power
of two. Likewise, we have the conscious power to change our thoughts (M) in
order to change our emotional (E) response to a situation. The other factor
"C" in the equation stands for "change".
How does this equation ties in with Chinese Astrology?
There is a branch of study within Chinese Astrology known as
The Four Pillars of Destiny. It shines the light on a person's character and
how it leads the way to his or her destiny. By analysing the four pillars based
on a person's birth chart which is derived from his or her birth date, a master
can tell the character, the ability, the potential and the future of the individual.
The analysis covers all aspects of life which include areas such as career,
wealth, health and relationship. These are important factors that fall under
the scope of destiny and by knowing who you truly are, you can go with the flow
or change the flow of energy in your favour. This is where the formula E = MC2
comes into play. Based on the Four Pillars of Destiny (Ba Zi), the energy
within you is represented by the stems and branches within the pillars and they
define who you truly are, both consciously and subconsciously.
We are born on a given date which we cannot choose and we do
not get to choose our family. This is our fate. Our life force comes into being
based on the alignment of the stars and planets during our birth and it is
governed by universal energy. And through this universal energy, we can make
positive changes in our lives by tapping into our mind which controls our
destiny. To put it simply, we have the power to change for the better.

Chinese Astrology – All Out of Love
In Chinese Astrology, the birth chart of a person allows us
to determine the quality of spousal relationship through an intricate destiny
analysis. One of the branches of Chinese Astrology known as Four Pillars of
Destiny or BaZi can reveal the luck of marriage of a person.
Get the hottest book on love and relationship based on the Chinese Four Pillars of Destiny.
In Ba Zi, the secret to unveiling the marital luck is to
examine the Spouse palace and the Spouse element. There are five elements and
12 animal signs in a BaZi's birth chart. The relationship between the elements
and animal signs within the Four Pillars of a BaZi's birth chart can tell a lot
about a person’s love life and relationship with people.
What happens if you have a negative interaction between the
elements or animal signs in a BaZi's birth chart? What can you do about it? In
Chinese Astrology, it is believed that our luck can be altered by taking an
action that pre-empt the likelihood of misfortune in a person’s love life.
From the ancient Chinese perspective, a prediction from a
BaZi analysis is not carved in stone but we can choose to tweet luck in our
favor by marrying or establishing a relationship at the right time. For
example, if the chart indicate a likelihood of divorce should you choose to
marry before the age of 30, then you should marry later to avoid it becoming a self-fulfilling
prophesy.
However, you need to make sure there is a significant
difference in age between two persons who are forming a conjugal union.
According to the ancient art of Chinese Astrology, a lack of affinity for
marriage can be improved if we challenge the norm. Usually, a man marries a
woman who is a few years younger than him.
In order to break with the norm or convention and alter the
spousal luck, a man should marry a woman who is considerably older than him or
much younger than him. The age gap should be greater than 7 years or preferably
more.
Another way of challenging the norm is to ensure a
significant difference in status. This is another variation of not following
the norm. By this, a man need not be the bread winner or the one with the
intellectual prowess or financial wherewithal. For example if the man is poor,
the wife can be wealthy or highly educated. On the other hand, if the man is
highly educated, the wife should have a low level education.
For a woman, if she is unable to get married due to
unfavorable astrological signs, she can still find love by being the other
woman. A BaZi's birth chart of a woman with poor marriage luck implies that she
will find it difficult to be the first wife or the legally recognized one. In the
olden times, the Chinese believed that you could have had more success if you
took up the role of the second wife, mistress or a partner who was not legally
recognized in marriage.
As for a man, what can he do if his BaZi's birth chart
revealed poor marriage luck? Going by the same unconventional rule, he can opt
to marry a divorcee or a widow! Alternatively, he can also marry someone from a
different race or culture. This is yet another variation of not following
conventional rule. For example if you are a Caucasian, you can marry a Chinese,
Japanese or a person of colored skin.

The trick is to identify the spot where water can help to activate the wealth star of a house. Based on Feng Shui Flying Star system, a house has a natal chart that is divided into nine sectors i.e. north, south, east, west, northeast, northwest, southeast, southwest and centre. The flying stars are distributed within these sectors in a pattern that conforms to a formula. The flying stars are bodies of energy or qi that wax and wane according to time cycles. There are altogether nine flying stars represented by the number 1 – 9. The current wealth star is no. 8. This star governs wealth and career aspects of the occupants. If you want financial and career success, you should have a water feature such as an aquarium in the sector that has this star. For example, if the star 8 is located in the north sector of your house, you can put the aquarium there. The water can activate the star for wealth and career luck.

However,
there are also unsuitable places for water based on Feng Shui principles. To
put a water feature in a sector that has an inauspicious star can invite
trouble for the occupant of the house. For example, the current unlucky star is
no. 5. This star is a harbinger of calamity, accidents and misfortune. By
having a water feature such as an aquarium in the sector with this star will
activate its negative effects and bring bad luck to the occupants.
You
should not have a pool (and pond) that cuts into the interior of your house. In
other words, the pool should not straddle between the indoor and outdoor of
your house. It is considered inauspicious and will bring financial instability
to the occupants depending on the sector it is in.
Also
avoid building a pond or pool above the car porch or underneath the staircase,
especially if the staircase is close to the centre of the property.
A pool
or toilet bowl (water closet) or bathtub above the Main Door is also to be
avoided as it can cause significant loss of wealth. Likewise, such water
feature above the kitchen stove or bed is inauspicious as it can cause health
issue. If you come across such a scenario, you should relocate the offending
feature or move your door inward or outward.
Never
have a body of water in the centre of a house. According to Feng Shui, the
centre represents the heart of the house and it is Yin which should be passive
and stable. Any water located there will cause the occupants to suffer health
problem.
A
man-made waterfall is not a positive feature to have inside or outside the house
especially if the water is rushing downwards in a straight line and making
sharp piecing sound. A water fall that has a gentle and meandering flow should
be fine.
Water
substantially affects the flow of energy in a property and when done right,
water will encourage positive energy flow and should be given serious consideration
in the art of placement.

Chinese Astrology - The BaZi Way To Luck
In the pursuit of happiness, the Chinese has
devised a way to decipher the luck of a person. Whether he or she can be lucky
for marriage, career, wealth or health depends on the configuration of the
heavenly stems and earthly branches.
The heavenly stems display the face value of the
person such as their prevailing traits for all to see. Each heavenly stem
exhibits the person’s external character.
The earthly branches hold the seeds to a person
true character and what is in their mind. Each earthly branch hides the
person’s internal character.
Together, the stems and branches form the four
pillars of destiny or Ba Zi birth chart.

In order to truly know a person from the inside, we need to look at the hidden stems as well. The motivation of a person or what drives him or her towards a certain action can be uncovered from the hidden stems. In order words, a person’s inner thoughts and motives can be unveiled behind the mask they put on.

Then there is the Day Master which embodies your
character and personality. It is YOU. It personifies who you are. Ideally, the
Day Master should be well rooted in its own pillar. This is what people calls
WYSWYG. What you see is what you get when dealing with such a person whose Day Master
is as straight as a tree.
The Day Master is the most important stem in a
BaZi birth chart. It is the point of reference for all the stems and branches.
It determines the balance of the BaZi birth chart. Whether you are weak or
strong, the stems and branches play an interactive role to support or weaken
you.
Then there is the season of birth which can make
an element strong or weak including the Day Master. It governs the temperature
of the BaZi birth chart based on the four seasons – spring, summer, autumn and
winter. If you are born in the right season, you are considered as strong. If
you are not born in the right season, you are deemed to be weak. But that is
only a simplistic way to assess the strength of a Ba Zi birth chart. The
quality of a Ba Zi birth chart does not rest on its strength per se but the
interaction of the stems and branches within it. Ultimately, the quality of a
Ba Zi birth chart and hence, a person’s life hinges on the clarity and harmony
of one’s Day master in relation to the stems and branches.
